I often say how proud I am to work for the Boston Globe, especially when they pull off investigative reporting like the current series on debt-collection abuses in Massachusetts.
You should go and read the series. The blatant abuse of our courts and our less-fortunate citizens is appalling.

Excellent article in the Times this morning about how subjects of media attention can get their side of the story out there.
Interview subjects are “annoyed that they’re quoted out of context, or they did a half-hour interview and only one sentence got used. Or sometimes they’re just flattered that a reporter called them,” she said. “If you’re one of a growing number of people with a blog, you now have a place where you can set the record straight.”
